Red Dragons Report Conference Championship

The road to the Relo Bowl now comes through San Diego. In a year that has been filled with ups and downs, twist and turns, and highs and lows now comes down to an AFC Conference Championship game between the Red Dragons and Chicago Cougars. The Cougars have essentially been playing playoff games since week 13 with every game being a must win just to stay alive for a playoff bid. They have passed every test thus far and the playoff road warriors will look to do it again by leaving chilly Chicago and travelling into sunny San Diego.

This matchup has all the intrigue a game can have but before it even gets to the field, the friendship and relationship between Coach Davis and Coach Roby will be highlighted as one of mutual respect and love but both coaches know that the opposition will hold nothing back to get to the win and this relationship will play a pivotal role in the gameplans for each of these teams.

Red Dragons enter this game on a high but with all the pressure. With the Cougars victory over the Celtic Tigers, the Red Dragons earned the home playoff game. With being at home comes familiarity of daily routines but in the playoffs during Conference Championship week the positives of being home can become a distraction. As the game draws near it allows the media more coverage to delve into the matchup and expose weaknesses (like will running backs Fender and Ninadino III be able to equal the production of Bobo).

It is almost a certain that the Red Dragons will continue to do what they do best, which is run the ball, controlling the game and the clock and playing bend but don't break defense. The Cougars bring the same style of play and ironically could be the formula that ends the Red Dragons undefeated playoff streak.
