Week 9 - Voyagers Preview

The Red Dragons have been away for 2 weeks (Bye week and auto win) since their 45-13 win over the Pioneers. Getting some mid-season rest to watch how the division and conference was shaping up would have been thought to be a good thing but not much movement was made and now is prove it time.

Coach Davis and his team have 3 straight division games, 2 being with Coach Baker and the Houston Voyagers. As the Red Dragons prepare to travel to Houston they bring a 5 game winning streak, knowing that every game from this point out has playoff implications.

The Red Dragons will be looking to get their Bell Cow DJ Scott rolling but it will be a tough time against the vicious Voyagers defensive front 7. They have the 4th best run defense in the ARC and don't give up much on the ground. The option of relying on Savoy in the passing game for Coach Davis doesn't seem much better as the Voyagers have 28 sacks on the season and will be hungry to hit Savoy whether catching him in the pocket or trying to scramble.

This matchup is always a fun one to watch and should make for a fantastic game.

Players to watch

WR. Andrew McIntosh - McIntosh leading the team in receiving yards and has 5 TDs (tied for team lead with TE. Henderson). He is upset about a dev regression, look for some deep shots his way.

RT. Tom Scheffer - He has struggled against strong pass rushers this season and if he wants to make an impact on the Red Dragons winning this game he has to lock in and shut down the Voyagers edge pressure to give Savoy time.

SS. Alex Stone - The silent assassin, he does not say much in the locker room but he is a hit sticking playmaker and it seems he always comes through in big moments in big games. Will he get him one tonight?
