Red Dragons Report: Divisional Round Questions

Pressure is at an all time high for Coach Davis and the Red Dragons. With all the strengths and positives of this team that they will take with them in the game against the Dreadnoughts such as a strong running game (152.4 yards per game), dominant defense (allowing 14 points per game) and passionate veteran leadership. They have also packed questions marks with them on their road trip to San Antonio.

Questions 1: Will the offense put a complete game together and not have to rely on the defense being lights out to hold on for a victory?

The Dreadnoughts offense is full of talent and are ready to explode themselves. Averaging 28 points per game, the Red Dragons offense will need to score early and often to keep up and if they want a chance to come away with the win.

Question 2: Will 2nd year head man Coach Davis get in his own way?

The Red Dragons have shown resilience all season long but at times the young coach has made some interesting game plan decisions in key losses this year. Over thinking situations when the games get tighter and more meaningful can be a young coaches nemesis. Coach Davis preaches ball control, consistency and sticking to what you do best. Lets see if he can hold himself to his own standards.

Question 3: Who can match Bobby's production?

No one has stepped in trying to replace the presence that Bobby Boucher brought to the Red Dragons Red Wall Defense. Bouchee was not the leader by any means but this man was the heart. Boucher was always around the ball to make plays whether it was solo or assisted gang tackles, forcing pressure on the Quarterback and being voted as the special teams captain. The Red Dragons have tried multiple lineup variations to replicate his impact but it just has not held water from what Bobby brought. Coach Davis hopes that with the similarities of Dreadnoughts signal caller Matt Jones and his own QB in Savoy, his defense has seen enough through practices all year to be able to not be shocked by Jones big play ability.

This game is setup to be a great one and highlights some intriguing head to head matchups in the field..

AFC offensive lineman of the year DeMarcus Degrate will be lined up across from defensive end Eric Friedman..

..Evonte Celestin will be charged with covering electrifying receiver Kam Jones..

..and the LB duo of Derek Williamson and Charles Raymond will try to halt the rushing attack of the dreadnoughts with Javonte Gilliam, Kirby Britt and Matt Jones.

Will the Red Dragons be able to answer their questions and move on to the conference championship?
