Draft Spotlight: Paavo Frederick

Highlights provided by: Paavo Frederick

Paavo Frederick, wide receiver for the Alabama Crimson Tide, was their best pass catcher last season. Paavo helped pave the way for his quarterback, Jacob McCall, to lead all passers in yards. Frederick was responsible for 1,333 of those yards, 3rd amongst all wide receivers, and 7 touchdowns. With Paavo being 6'3 215 pounds he is going to be most successful on the outside. His combination of size and speed is going to make him a deadly weapon for whatever franchise he ends up on. The only thing hurting Fredrick's draft stock is the plethora of other wide receivers in this class. While this years class is going to be very defensive heavy in the draft especially in the first round or so. Players can expect wide receivers to break that mold and be the offensive position taken the most in the early rounds. Any of the top 6 receivers could get a first round selection. All that is left to see is if franchises saw Paavo separate himself enough from the others at his position to take him first.
