All good in San Diego?

The first 4 weeks of Red Dragons football has been somewhat of a let down to the expectations of Coach Davis, organization and the fans.

As the league continues to want more from this team the biggest question and concern has been at QB. The Relobowl champion Anthony Savoy set the league on fire as a rookie and has since them cooled off. In working to become a more balanced QB and not relying on his legs as much, it seems that the once sensational has regressed. (**The move to 22' has shifted his dominant archetype from a scrambler to field general). Coach Davis was quoted as stating "we have a plan and are hoping that we all can get back to our championship play." Whatever the plan is he can only hope that involves more from Savoy who only has 5 rushing attempts on the year while being sacked 15 times and only throwing 4 TD passes.

The bright spot for this Red Dragon offense has been the addition of RB. DJ Scott. This wrecking ball back is the perfect back for a Coach Davis ground and pound attack, not only in the running game but his catching ability out of the backfield has been tremendous. He currently is 2nd on the team in receptions with 17 behind Obey Kid (20 receptions).

Heading into a division matchup with the 3-1 Houston Voyagers led by Coach Baker, this offense will continue to rely heavily on Scott to produce as Savoy continues to find himself. The Voyagers defense is first in the ARC at stopping the run.

Will Coach Davis and the Red Dragons work to keep pounding against the likes of Ingram, Church and Okoye or will they put the ball in the hands of Savoy?
