Draft Spotlight: Xavier Eaves

Highlights provided by: Xavier Eaves

There is not enough that can be said for former Texas Longhorns cornerback Xavier Eaves. This defensive back is coming into the draft as someone who is top 3 at their respected position. Eaves has the makings of a successful boundary corner standing 6'3 210 pounds. While he is working to perfect his technical skills it can be said that Eaves is one of the most athletically gifted corner in this years group posting the fastest 40 and shuttle at this years combine. He ended his senior year at Texas with 96 total tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 11 pass deflections, 2 forced fumbles and 1 touchdown. Eaves also leaves Texas finishing 3rd in the nation in interceptions with 5. Eaves will be one of the few rookies entering season 7 of the RFL that will be given a chance to start. Given his size and athleticism he will be able to handle his own against the receivers in the RFL but do expect some rookie moments out of from time to time.
