I've had experience writing for a few local papers, a national magazine, and was an assistant editor to a major local city paper in my professional career. That's what I do for work. What I do for fun is play simulation football in Madden just like the RFL is doing it. I would love to lend my voice "talent" to the league if they want it and deem it useful. If not for game broadcasts then perhaps a weekly highlight show where I can interview some of the coaches in the league on voice.
We could write up a short script of maybe 5 questions or so so that when recorded and played back it sounds smooth and polished. The highlight show could just showcase some of the biggest plays or clutch plays in the biggest match ups of the week or of some of the star players in the league. Maybe it could be used to showcase some of the upcoming talent that will be available in the draft.
Anybody have any thoughts or ideas on this?
I've been in conversation with somebody on the youtube channel and they suggest that I submit some of my work to somebody here for some viewing. While I have skills as a writer and editor, that's not exactly the main thing I would be doing here. I would offer my help to people that might want to write better articles and perhaps proof read things for them.
I think the thing I would most enjoy is to help call games. I've listened to the Chicago Cougars vs. the Celtic Tigers playoff game from last year so if that is your benchmark I know what sort of level of quality you are going for. I don't know if my PC is capable of running any video capture, but I do have audio recording equipment that should work to give you some idea of what I can do. I will fiddle around with what I have and see what I can come up with. I will attempt to call a 15 min qtr., accelerated clock with 13 sec runoff Slow sim CPU vs CPU game between my all 60's challenge Miami team against my next opponent (I think New England Patriots) in Madden 20.
Once I get some material together, how can I submit it to a specific person (or persons)?
